Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Madhya Pradesh, Lakhan Patel, visited Balram Residential High School in Adarsh Gram, Canacona, and also toured houses built under the Shram Dham initiative.

According to the Speaker’s office, Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, along with Savita Tawadkar, Sarpanch of VP Poinguinim and Headmistress of Balram Residential High School, warmly welcomed Lakhan Patel at the school on Friday.

Tawadkar, who is also the Founder Chairman of Balram Education Society, introduced Patel to the Shram-Dham concept—a community-driven effort to rebuild homes for the needy in Goa.

During his visit to Adarsh Gram Amone, Patel was impressed by the rural development projects. He praised the school’s modern facilities, including well-equipped laboratories, a smart classroom, a library, a large playground, and hostel accommodation, all located in a deep tribal area. He commended the efforts in education and community development and extended his best wishes for the initiative’s continued success.

Patel also visited some houses built under the Shram-Dham initiative and expressed admiration for the project. He hoped that such efforts would not only continue in Goa but also be expanded across the country.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar chaired an important meeting in Margao with the executive members of the Shram-Dham initiative.

The discussions focused on progress, innovative planning, and the roadmap for the third phase of the project to further strengthen its impact.
