The Colva Police have arrested Sonu Kumar Chauhan, a native of Uttar Pradesh currently residing in Navelim after he was caught red-handed with a substance suspected to be ganja.
The seized material, which weighed 2.401 kilograms, is estimated to be worth around Rs 2.4 lakh in the market.
Chauhan was apprehended during an operation by the Colva Police, and following his arrest, he was remanded to police custody for further investigation by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Margao.
The investigation is ongoing, and further inquiries are being handled by Prashant S Bhagat of the Colva Police Station.
