PONDA:
A 42-year-old man from Savoiverem who was reportedly teaching his two children to swim, drowned in a pond in the village on Wednesday afternoon.
Tulshidas Palkar was teaching his two children to swim, when he began to struggle in the water. Locals pulled him out and admitted him to the Betki Primary Health Centre, with doctors declaring him dead on arrival.
A post-mortem examination conducted at GMC hospital on Thursday morning confirmed that Palkar had drowned to death. Police are conducting investigations under the guidance of Mardol Police Inspector Yogesh Sawant.
