Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar flagged off the carnival parade. King Momo Clevan Fernandes, Mandrem King Momo Dr Joseph Fernandes, and Queen Sharon D’Souza were present.
Mandrem Sarpanch Rajesh Mandrekar, Zilla Panchayat Member Satish Shethgaonkar, and others were also on the stage for the event.
MLA Jit Arolkar thanked Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte for giving him the opportunity to organise the carnival parade.
Foreign tourists were seen dancing to the lively music. A tourist named Richard said he has been visiting Harmal for several years, but this was his first time witnessing such a spectacular carnival parade.
This year’s parade featured floats showcasing a fish market, fishing, rural taverns, cashew mills, distilleries, and traditional Goan wedding ceremonies.
