Consignment of meat found abandoned at Margao railway station.

The Konkan Railway Police have seized around 347.5 kg of suspected red meat, falsely declared as goat meat. The meat is valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh.
The consignment was transported from Belagavi to Margao by the Goa Express (Train No. 12780) and found abandoned near the Parcel Office.
Veterinary and health officials confirmed the meat was unfit for human consumption. A case has been registered under the Goa Animal Preservation Act and the Railway Act.
Further investigation is underway.
