Social activist says politicians must stop fooling people
MARGAO
Social activist, Fr Bolmax Pereira has cautioned not to be carried away by the unity tunes played by the Chief Ministers of Goa and Maharashtra to save Mhadei, saying the people of Goa will not fall prey to this propaganda.
Condemning the unity tunes played by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his Maharashtra counterpart Eknath Shinde to protect rivers, including Mhadei, Fr Bolmax said, “This is nonsense. We are not against Karnataka. We are one India. The politicians should stop fooling the people.”
He added: “This unity tune is for what. Where were these Chief Ministers? Just because Karnataka is not with them, they are playing these unity tunes. This is sheer propaganda.”
Saying they will come with some files after playing the unity tunes, Fr Bolmax claimed, “This is done to divide Hindu, Muslim and Christians. They are playing divide and rule politics.”
