The KTC-operated Mhaji bus that veered off the road at Shristhal along the Gaondongrim-Chaudi route on Tuesday afternoon.

Two passengers sustained minor injuries while others escaped unhurt when a minibus (Mhaji Bus) veered off the road and went into roadside bushes at Dhupyamoll-Shristhal on Tuesday afternoon.
According to sources, the mini bus (GA-04-T-4294) running under KTC as Mhaji-Bus along the Gaondongrim-Chaudi-Margao route was descending the slope at Dhupyamoll, when the driver suddenly applied brakes to avoid knocking down a herd of buffaloes proceeding on the road.
In the process, the bus veered off the road and came to a halt in the roadside bushes.
Sources said except for some minor injuries to two passengers, the driver, conductor and other passengers escaped unhurt.
A Canacona police team conducted the panchanama and is investigating the incident.
