Former Minister Mickky Pacheco on Tuesday made his appearance at the Margao district police headquarters after he was summoned by the Fatorda police in connection with the ongoing investigations into the Old Market road blockade during the weekend.
Mickky is believed to have told Fatorda police station in-charge, PI Nathan Almeida that he was in no way connected with the road blockade. He said he happened to reach near the road blockade after his children reached home late due to the protests.
A video that had gone viral had shown an agitated Mickky warning a senior police officer that he would attack Subhash Velingkar holding him responsible for spoiling peace after protesters erected road blockades to protest against the remarks against St Francis Xavier.
The police had on Sunday evening visited Mickky’s house following which he had appeared before the Colva police station on Monday. However, he was summoned to appear before the Fatorda police in connection with the road blockade at the Old market, Margao.
