Peace was shattered on the Margao station road at the dead of night on Thursday after a video went viral when three persons were seen hammering a victim with iron rods.
The victim Raghuvendra Dwivedi survived the assault but not before his legs were left fractured in the incident, which occurred at 1 am on Thursday.
In his complaint, Raghuvendra Dwivedi alleged that accused persons namely Sujeet Singh, Deelip Kumar and Sunil Singh, all residents of Aquem-Margao, natives of Uttar Pradesh with their common intention assaulted him.
He further alleged that accused No. 03 caught hold of his hands and accused No. 01 and 02, assaulted him with hammer and iron rod respectively on both knees, thereby causing him injuries.
The incident is believed to have occurred due to previous enmity.
