A series of inspections were conducted on Tuesday under thesupervisor of Deputy Collector of Bicholim Narayan Gad in the Bicholim taluka.
On Tuesday morning, a directive was issued by North GoaCollector Mihar Vardhan asking the Deputy Collector of Bicholim to conductinspections of all mines in Bicholim and file a compliances report whether theyare operational or not.
Two four-member teams - one each for north and south Goa - areinspecting the state’s 90 mines to ensure that the government’s orders oftemporary closure of mines is enforced.
