Former Minister and Taleigao MLA, Jennifer Monserrate on Sunday said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has developed Goa, including Taleigao, to a great extent and should be the Chief Minister again in the next term as well.
Monserrate was speaking at a Bharatiya Janata Party workers’ meeting in Taleigao where Sawant, BJP State President Damodar (Damu) Naik and former MLA Sidharth Kuncalienker, among others, were present.
Monserrate said many projects, including the bridge over the Zuari river, the Mopa airport, and the AYUSH Hospital, among others, have been completed during Sawant’s tenure.
She said that the Chief Minister’s Skill Development Scheme and other initiatives were also launched to provide employment to youth.
“The country, including Goa, is developing rapidly under the double-engine government,” Monserrate said, adding that even in Taleigao the roads have been hot-mixed at a cost of Rs 13.20 crore.
Monserrate further said that all other work, including the development of the football field in Taleigao, will be completed.
