Exudes confidence of retaining South Goa seat

South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha on Sunday promised to spent more money on the Dr Francisco Luis Gomes memorial and other projects in Navelim if he makes it to the Lok Sabha in 2024 in the event the Congress party nominates him for the South Goa seat.
While welcoming the alliance between Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, Sardinha thanked the Congress High Command for stitching the alliance with AAP. Later, while talking to the media, Sardinha exuded confidence of retaining the South Goa seat with a comfortable margin if given the ticket by the Congress party.
He was speaking after inaugurating the construction of the compound wall with gate for the proposed Amphitheatre hall for the Dr Francisco Luis Gomes Memorial at Navelim on Sunday in the presence of ex-Rajya Sabha MP Luizinho Faleiro, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuemkar, Navelim ZP member Cypru Cardozo and others.
Saying he has sanctioned Rs 30 lakhs for the compound wall with gate project for the project, Sardinha said he will spend more money on the project if he is returned back to the Lok Sabha in the coming election if given the ticket.
“So far, I have spent Rs 30 lakh on the project. If there is any saving, I will spend on the project. But, if I am re-elected to the South Goa in the coming election if given the ticket, I will sanction additional funds under the MPLAD scheme for the project and to take up works in Navelim”, he added.
Ex-Rajya Sabha MP Luizinho Faleiro expressed his gratitude to the South Goa MP for sanctioning the project.
Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuemkar promised to the people of Navelim that he would take up developmental projects in the village.
