Applauding government primary schoold in Pernem for imparting knowledge to students, MLA Pravin Arlekar has assured that these schools will not be allowed to be shut down.
The MLA was speaking at the Alorna government primary school after inaugurating the school bus. A programme was also organised to welcome students who returned to school after their summer vacations.
Arlekar appealed to local parents to send their children to these schools to keep them in operation.
The event was attended by parents, students, teachers as well as Deputy Sarpanch Siddhi Raul, PTA Chairman Nagesh Shet, School Management Committee President Nivedita Raul, panch Aarti Raul, Shailesh Naik, president of Jai Ganesh Sports Club Pandurang Naik, president of Dev Ravalnath Sports Club Narayan Raul and Anganwadi teacher Vidya Naik.
