Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has expressed serious concerns over the issue of false land mutations in South Goa, likening it to a land scam similar to the one in Assagao. Sardesai described the situation as chaotic, suggesting that the system in Goa is failing. In his remarks, Sardesai highlighted a troubling scenario – if land can be mutated and transferred within a single day, it raises questions about the integrity of the system. He criticised the lack of effective checks and balances, emphasising that many of the safeguards intended to prevent such issues are not being enforced.
