The Bicholim police have arrested a Belgaum-native for allegedly stealing a donation box containing cash from Shirodkar Kulswami temple, Mulgao Bicholim.
President of Shri Dev Ravalnath Mahalaxmi Devastan Mulgao Radhakrishna Ghodge, on March 9, lodged a complaint alleging that unknown person/s for broke open the temple and committed theft of metal donation box (fund peti).
SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi informed reporters that during investigation several teams were formed and case was detected within two hours and accused Guresab Kalimani, aged 35yrs of Mulgao and a native of Belgaum, Karnataka was arrested under sections 454, 457, 380 IPC.
"The stolen property - cash along with donation box has been recovered," he said.
