Claim agent refuses to return back their money

A group of youngsters from Goa called on BJP State President Damu Naik on Thursday, claiming they have been deputed by a recruitment agency on the promise of providing jobs abroad.
They further claimed the agent has refused to return back their money running into lakhs of rupees.
Accompanied by former Benaulim MLA Caitu Silva and Navelim social worker George Barretto, the beleaguered youngsters made a fervent plea to the BJP chief to use his good offices with the government to ensure the return of their money.
Leave alone returning their money, they claimed the agent is threatening them with dire consequences if they demand return of their money.
After giving the delegation a patient hearing, Damu said he would draw attention of the Chief Minister to the issue raised by the youngsters and seek necessary action.
One of the youth has claimed he has paid the agent an amount of Rs 11-12 lakh, while another youngster pointed out that he had shelled out Rs 24 lakh for a job in the USA.
Caitu sought the intervention of the government and mete out justice for the 8-9 youngsters who have been left with neither a job nor their money.
