PANAJI: The declaration of the Lok Sabha Elections results is scheduled for tomorrow by 4 pm. The counting of votes will take place at Altinho, Panaji and Comba, Margao.
Chief Electoral Officer Ramesh Verma has refrained from providing any video statement regarding the counting process. However, officials of the Election Commission of India have assured that results are expected to be declared before noon if there is no recounting.
In North Goa, the counting will transpire across 157 tables, while in South Goa, it will be conducted on 161 tables. The process will unfold over seven rounds in each constituency to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
The Election Commission has appointed 236 micro observers for North Goa and 242 for South Goa, alongside 282 counting supervisors for the former and 220 for the latter. Moreover, there will be 282 counting assistants stationed in North Goa and 210 in South Goa.
In addition, the Election Commission has designated 376 returning officers for North Goa and 210 for South Goa. Furthermore, 454 counting agents will be present in North Goa, with 495 counterparts stationed in South Goa, monitoring and overseeing the proceedings.
Special attention is placed on ensuring transparency and fairness, with seven special observers deployed in North Goa and six in South.
