A youth from Patna died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College (GMC) hospital at Bambolim after allegedly consuming an unidentified substance at Baina Beach.
According to police sources, Ankit Verma (20) was admitted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Chicalim on March 13 after he complained of uneasiness. He was shifted to GMC hospital for advanced medical treatment, where he breathed his last in the casualty ward.
Mormugao police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). PSI Stanley Gomes is leading the investigation under the supervision of PI Dheeraj Devidas and Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
