MARGAO: A pedestrian who was knocked down by a speeding vehicle on the NH66 at Panzorconne-Cuncolim has succumbed to his injuries at the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim.
Cuncolim police informed that that the incident had taken place near the Indian Oil Petrol pump when the driver of a Maruti Swift car driving in a rash and negligent manner dashed the pedestrian namely Ratnakar Jainu Goankar, a resient of Panzorconne.
The pedestrian was walking on the katcha road when the car while overtaking another vehicle struck the pedestrian, who sustained injuries. He succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the GMC Bambolim.
