The Police Motor department on Friday conducted check of the vehicles of police department at Vasco Police Station.

PSI Sudhakar Arlekar, attached to the Police Motor Transport section, conducted the inspection.
A mechanic was also present during the inspection and check up to assess the technical issues, if any, for all the vehicles including motorcycles used by the police department.
According to PSI Arlekar, the inspection was conducted on a routine basis
and reports are then prepared and submitted to the PI in the technical section of Goa Police.
"After the inspection, if any vehicles that may need repairs are repaired in the garage at Panaji," added Arlekar.
As a part of inspection, police vehicles are checked for their wear and tear and also checked if necessary pollution certificates are maintained.
The inspection is conducted on police and RTO vehicles and it is done on a monthly basis.
"If any officer is on duty and not possible to be present during the inspection, they can also report to Panaji and put forth any technical issues related to police vehicles," said Arlekar.
