The roof of the market project, which has been in the news for the past few years in Varcha Bazar, Ponda, is leaking and the water is directly falling on to the ground floor.
As one of the sheets of the roof broke on Saturday evening due to torrential rains and a lot of water got collected on the ground floor.
Losses to shop owners have been avoided as the shops in the project have not yet been auctioned.
The people are demanding immediate repair of the market project roof by Ponda Municipality ahead of the monsoons.
