The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, arrived in Goa today on a transit visit. Upon her arrival at INS Hansa, the President was honoured with a 150-man Ceremonial Guard of Honour.
Later, she witnessed Indian Naval Operations on board Aircraft Carrier INS Vikrant at Karwar.
The President will embark on the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and witness Naval Operations at sea. This is the maiden sailing of the President on board the Indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant to witness the full spectrum of multi-domain naval operations, a press release issued by the Directorate of Information and Publicity stated
Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Protocol Minister Mauvin Godinho, MP Viriato Fernandes, LoP Yuri Alemao, Chief Secretary V. Candavelou, IAS, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and South Goa Collector Egna Cleetus, IAS, were among those who extended a warm welcome to the President.
