PANAJI: Goa Crime Branch arrested one from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh for allegedly running an escort website containing sexually explicit pictures and videos.
According to police, Yogesh Kumar (41) from Rakesh Marg, Ghaziabad, UP, the creator of the website deepikaverma.com, was apprehended by a team with support from the Ghaziabad Police.
During a search at his residence, a CPU containing website data was seized.
Yogesh was taken into custody and brought to Goa for further investigation.
This is the third arrest in the case registered under Crime Branch PS Crime No. 117/24, involving Sections 67 of the IT Act, Section 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women Act, and Sections 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Two other accused were previously arrested in Annamayya, Andhra Pradesh. The investigation is being conducted by PI Dattaram Raut under the supervision of DySP Rajesh Kumar and SP Crime Rahul Gupta.
