Visitors to the Ravindra Bhavan in Margao may find the footpath at the entrance clean and free from waste or obstruction.
However, the footpath at the rear side of Ravindra Bhavan tells a different story. Wild grass and plants have taken over the pathway, blocking access.
That’s not all. Beer and liquor bottles are scattered along the footpath, suggesting that the area is used by anti-social elements after dark.
An early morning jogger told The Goan that it is impossible to walk on the rear footpath because of the overgrown vegetation.
“Just a glance at the footpath shows that the plants have not been cleared for a long time. Dry leaves are also scattered on the footpath and the nearby road, showing that sweeping is not being done by any authority,” the jogger added.
