Curtorim Independent MLA Reginaldo Lourenco on Saturday inaugurated hot-mixing works at Raia village at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 crore.
After launching the hot-mixing works, the Independent MLA said the Rs 3.5 crore project will cover most of the roads in Raia village. “This work is being done in the interest of the people, irrespective of party politics. We are trying our best to ensure that the people have good and motorable roads,” he said.
In response to a question, Lourenco said that the PWD will soon undertake hot-mixing of the roads in Curtorim village, which were dug up for the laying of underground cabling.
“Unlike Curtorim, Raia was not affected by road digging for underground cabling. However, we will start hot-mixing works in Curtorim at the earliest to provide relief to the people,” he said.
The Independent MLA used the platform to appeal to the public not to dispose of plastic waste in the open.
