Samrat Club which celebrated 25 years of its existence in Vasco, carried out the installation of the new Board of Directors (BOD) on Saturday evening. Besides installing the new BOD, Samrat club has also decided to light 1,551 lamps in Sateri Temple at Chicalim to seek blessings for the well-being of the club and its members.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Subir Sansgiri, President of Vasco Samrat Club briefed about the silver jubilee and installation ceremony which was held at HQ hotel.
"For the last 25 years Samrat Club has been organising various social and cultural programmes, and we have also tried to promote educational activities. We had 31 members earlier and have added another two taking the strength to 33. State president of Samrat Club Uday Kudalkar was the chief guest while Prasad Naik and Adv Satish Pilgaonkar were guests of honour. We will also light 1,551 lamps at Sateri Temple with the Rotary Club to seek the blessings of the Goddess," said Sansgiri.
Speaking to the media chief guest and State Samrat Club President Uday Kudalkar said that the club had promoted art and culture, music and other aspects along with social and educational programmes.
