The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Anjuna-based Cafe owner Gaurav Arya in connection with a money laundering case linked to the probe of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

The ED has told Arya to report at its EDC Patto Plazza office on Monday next. The notice summoning him was pasted on the premises Arya owns in Anjuna after ED officials failed to meet him.

According to the notice, Arya has to report to the agency's Assistant Director Rajiv Kumar on Monday morning at 11.

The case ECIR/MB20-5/31/2020 is booked under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Earlier on Thursday, a team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from Mumbai had arrived in Goa and sought to investigate a lead which emerged when Bollywood starlet Rhea Chakraborty's Whatsapp chat with Arya revealed drugs sourced from Goa.

Rhea was the deceased Rajput's girlfriend and is being intensely probed by multiple central government agencies in the case which is assuming political hues in the backdrop of impending elections in Bihar, the dead actor's home State.

Rajput's family has filed the FiR against Chakraborty and after a series of controversial twists and turns including a row between Mumbai and Bihar police, CBI is probing the case after a Supreme Court intervention.
