Unknown thieves targeted multiple homes in Siolim, making away with mobile phones and watches valued at Rs 71,000.
The incidents occurred on the night of September 7 and the early hours of September 8. A resident of Rai in Siolim, Datta Vernekar (27) lodged a complaint stating that a thief entered his house through the back door on September 8, stealing a mobile phone worth Rs 18,000.
The thieves also broke into the homes of Pandhari Govekar and Madhusudan Savoiverekar, stealing mobile phones and watches. Locals reported that two houses had their doors broken during the robbery and CCTV footage of the incidents was handed over to the police for further investigation.
