The garbage truck from Goa which overturned near Khanapur.

A truck carrying garbage from Goa overturned at a turn near Gunji village near Khanapur on the NH748, causing a traffic jam.
The accident occurred late Sunday night and the driver was rescued after breaking the glass.
After the incident, the entire locality was filled with stink causing inconvenience to the villagers and travellers along the route. The truck was reportedly carrying the garbage to a cement plant at Lokapur in Bagalkote district.
The villagers contacted the owner of the truck, however till late evening the garbage was not cleared causing a nuisance to residents in the locality.
Residents from the locality have warned of stopping the trucks carrying garbage from moving along this route in case appropriate measures are not taken by the transporters concerned.
