Two young girls lost their lives and an underage pillion rider is left in critical condition after their two-wheeler collided head-on with a truck at Mandrem this morning.
Sanika Kharbe, 19, and Priyanka Kharbe, 29, died on the spot whereas Siddhi Shetkar, 13, has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
Mandrem police detained the truck driver and impounded the vehicle involved in the accident.
