Two unidentified motorcycle-borne thieves snatched a mangalsutra from Sushma Shirodkar while she was waiting for a bus at Tembi Raia on March 10.
According to her complaint, the incident took place around 9:10 am when a pillion rider, along with the bike’s rider, targeted her. The duo, riding a blue/green Royal Enfield, snatched part of her mangalsutra and sped away.
The stolen gold jewellery is valued at approximately Rs 1.10 lakh.
Maina Curtorim police have registered an FIR under Section 304(2) r/w 3(5) of BNS 2023. Further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Veronica Coutinho.
