Panaji: Calangute Police carried out a narcotics raid near Sinquerim Jetty, Candolim, Goa. During the raid, they arrested a 42-year-old woman, Jumaeva Amira, a Uzbekistan national, who was found in possession of 12.05 grams of suspected cocaine, valued at approximately Rs. 1,20,000.
The police had received reliable information that a woman would be delivering drugs to potential buyers in the area. Acting on this tip, the police team from Calangute Police Station, conducted the raid. The drugs were seized in the presence of witnesses.
An offence was registered under the NDPS Act, 1985, further investigation is on.
