Verna Police Head Constable Videsh Naik was awarded the Chief Minister’s Police Gold Medal for excellence in service during the Liberation Day celebrations.
The prestigious medal was presented by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant at a State function in Panaji on Thursday.
Naik, who has dedicated 24 years in police service, has served in various police stations, including Vasco and Verna. Over his career, he has played a key role in solving numerous crimes, including murder cases, house-breaking thefts, and narcotics-related offences.
Known for his commitment and expertise, Naik has been instrumental in several high-profile crime detections, earning respect and recognition within the police force and the community.
