Porvorim
Vinit Parab has been unanimously elected as the new President of the Porvorim BJP Mandal, while Sapnil Chodankar has been chosen as the delegate for the Porvorim constituency.
The announcement was made by Returning Officer Pundalik Raut Dessai during a meeting held at the Socorro Panchayat Hall on Sunday.
The event was attended by BJP Goa State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, BJP State Prabhari Rupesh Kamat, Zilla Parishad member Kavita Naik, and panchayat members from Penha de França, Socorro, and Salvador do Mundo.
Speaking on the occasion, Sadanand Tanavade shared that 4,25,000 new primary members have been registered across Goa, including 13,200 primary members and 135 active members in the Porvorim BJP Mandal. He highlighted the successful completion of booth elections in Porvorim and congratulated the team for electing Vinit Parab as President.
Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte emphasised that the BJP’s strong organisation depends on its booth members, who are the backbone of the party.
He stated that booth members play a crucial role during Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
He urged them to work together and ensure that government welfare schemes reach the needy, which would help the BJP secure maximum seats in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Paresh Kamat, Rajan Parsekar, and newly elected President Vinit Parab also addressed the gathering.
