MAPUSA:
A worker hailing from West Bengal and residing at Anjuna died after falling off a building under construction at Tembi-Anjuna on Friday morning.
Narayan Mandal was working at the construction site since the past few months.
Mandal is reported to have gone to the construction site to drink alcohol at night and had gone up the second floor, from where he fell down.
He suffered severe head injuries after falling off the building. There was a lot of rainwater on the ground and it is believed that water entered his nose and mouth. He died at the site.
The incident came to light when other workers went to the construction site in the morning.
Police found his mobile phone, liquor bottles and slippers on the second floor of the building, leading to the speculation that the deceased fell off the floor. Police are conducting further investigation.
