PANAJI: The Bhausaheb Bandodkar Shikshan Saunsthan in Dharbandora will celebrate its golden jubilee with a three-day programme. The event will honour the legacy of the institution and pay tribute to those who have played a key role in its development since its establishment in 1975.
The celebrations will commence on April 25 with the inauguration of the newly reconstructed building by Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar. A cultural programme featuring the participation of schools, colleges, and universities will follow. Families of the seven late founder members and past presidents of the organisation will be felicitated on the occasion.
On April 26, a cultural evening showcasing performances by various schools will take place from 5 pm to 10 pm. The event will be attended by Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik and Goa Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye. Retired teaching and non-teaching staff will be honoured, while tributes will be paid to those who are no longer living.
The concluding day, April 27, will feature former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar as the chief guest, with Vidya Prabodhini Principal Bhushan Bhave as guest of honour. The first ten students who enrolled in the institution have been invited to receive honours, along with other alumni who have excelled in various fields.
A souvenir highlighting the 50-year journey of the Saunsthan will be released as part of the celebrations.
