In a shocking incident, a worker at a dairy farm who was dismissed from service is alleged to have exacted revenge by murdering the 12-year-old brother of the worker who replaced him in the farm at Vithalapur-Sanquelim in the wee hours of Sunday.

The accused, identified as Chandu Patil, is believed to have fled to his native place in Shegaon-Maharashtra after the incident.

According to available information, Chandu Patil (31) had been employed at a dairy farm in Vithalapur but his services had been terminated as his performance had not been satisfactory.

Another worker from Uttar Pradesh was hired in place of Patil and this had upset Patil.

Patil is reported to have gone to the dairy farm and had entered into an argument over the hiring of the new worker.

A furious Chandu returned to the premises at about 1 am on Sunday and while workers were asleep, he is reported to have taken the 12-year-old brother of the worker to a cowshed and allegedly struck his head with a stone.

Chandu then reportedly took the dairy owner's bike and went to the Tivim railway station, where he fled from the State.

The murder came to light when someone visited the cowshed and noticed the boy in a pool of blood. The boy was moved to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The Bicholim police was notified of the incident and the body was sent for an autopsy at the GMC hospital at Bambolim.

Bicholim police began investigations and is on the lookout for Chandu Patil in Maharashtra.
