PERNEM: All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa campus, received its sixth body donation on March 23 as part of the Dehadan Yagya Upakrama. The Panchbhautik Sharir was respectfully received from the donor’s family by faculty members and first-year BAMS students. This noble act was facilitated with the support of Jagadguru Narendracharyaji Maharaj Sansthan.
A gratitude ceremony was held on campus to honour this selfless contribution. Prof. Mohan Joshi, Associate Dean, expressed appreciation to the donor’s family. Dr Ashutosh Kumar Yadav led the Cadaveric Oath Ceremony, where faculty and scholars pledged to uphold ethical standards.
A sapling was planted in the donor’s honour, and the family received a certificate of donation. The Panchbhautik Sharir was then taken to the Dissection Hall for preservation. This Body Donation Programme is conducted under the leadership of AIIA Director, Prof. Dr Sujata Kadam.
