Panaji: An Air India Express flight bound for Mumbai had to abort its takeoff on Wednesday morning after a bird strike at Dabolim International Airport.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 a.m. when flight AIC 684 was preparing to take off from the runway. According to a senior official from the Airport Authority of India, the bird strike forced the pilots to immediately halt the takeoff.
The plane was then safely parked in the bay for further inspection and investigation. No injuries were reported, and passengers were informed about the delay.
