Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has strongly refuted allegations of partiality and failing to support residents, asserting that he is accessible to all constituents without bias.
Lobo's comments came in response to accusations by Anjuna resident Maria Theodore, who alleged that the MLA ignored her calls and appeared to side with individuals who had attacked her husband and son.
Lobo denied these claims, maintaining that he is open and responsive to all members of the public.
“I entertain everyone without any reservation and even promptly take calls from unknown numbers,” he stated, underscoring his commitment to being accessible and impartial.
Refuting any knowledge of Theodore or her residence, Lobo questioned the basis of the allegations against him.
“I don’t know the lady. I don’t know her house. What interest do I have there? How can someone make such wild allegations against me?” he said.
Lobo emphasised his dedication to assisting anyone in need and invited individuals with grievances to seek recourse through the appropriate channels.
"People who have any allegations can go to the police and get their grievances resolved," he added, reiterating his stance on addressing community issues within legal frameworks.
