The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa has forecast pre-monsoon showers over the weekend, offering some much-needed relief from the scorching heat.
On Friday, the State recorded a maximum temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius with the 'feels-like' temperature soaring to around 41°C.
Despite a slight dip in the 'feels-like' temperature to 39 °C post 4 pm, the humidity remained on the higher side. The minimum temperature was recorded at around 28 °C.
Relief is likely on Saturday-Sunday with light to moderate rains expected to bring down the temperature. The IMD has also predicted thunderstorms and lightning accompanying the showers across the State.
Goa experienced its first pre-monsoon showers on March 25.
