Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh on Saturday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa Unit will get its new President in January 2025.
“New BJP Goa President will be elected in January 2025,” he said while addressing a press conference to reel out achievements of the double engine sarkar at BJP headquarters in Panaji.
Its current President Sadanand Shet Tanavade was elected to Rajya Sabha in July 2023 and in the same year; his three-year term was extended after BJP national president J P Nadda got a second term.
Tanavade had taken over the party’s reins in January 2020 from then Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar.
BJP then claimed Tanavade will continue as BJP State President till the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
About the BJP’s new membership drive, MP Singh stated they have crossed 12 crore members across the country, claiming people are anguished and frustrated over COngress' negative politics.
