The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC), in collaboration with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Cell, Directorate of Health Services, Campal, Panjim, organised a successful ABHA Card generation camp at the Mormugao Municipality building on Monday.
The camp witnessed an enthusiastic response from the residents of the port town, with over 200 ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) cards being generated. This initiative aimed to facilitate easy access to digital health services for citizens, aligning with the national objective of enhancing digital health infrastructure.
On the occasion, the Chairperson of the Mormugao Municipal Council Girish Borkar, expressed his gratitude to the public for their participation. He commended their proactive involvement in the camp, emphasising the importance of the ABHA Card in promoting accessible and efficient healthcare services.
“The success of this camp is a testament to the people’s trust in the government’s initiatives. These cards will empower citizens with digital health solutions and ensure a more streamlined healthcare experience,” said Borkar.
The Mormugao Municipal Council, along with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission team, reaffirmed its commitment to conducting similar initiatives in the future to benefit more citizens.
