A sea turtle was found struggling in the sea off the Mobor coast on Monday evening by a group of fishermen. After administering first aid, the sea turtle was later taken by a forest official.
The incident occurred on Monday evening when a group of fishermen, comprising Jesus D’Costa, his son Leister, and their team, found the turtle struggling in the shallow waters.
“When our team members saw the turtle struggling in the sea, around 200 metres from the shore, it was rescued and brought ashore. As we found shells on the turtle, we got it cleaned. The turtle was apparently exhausted after the struggle in the sea,” Leister informed.
After the matter was reported to the authorities, a team from the Forest Department arrived on the beach, took custody of the turtle, and later took it away for treatment.
