The Calangute Police apprehended an Ugandan national, Susan Ainemukama (28), in the Baga area on November 17 for suspicious behaviour.
During an initial inquiry, Ainemukama failed to provide satisfactory explanations for her presence in the area and could not produce valid travel documents.
Following her inability to comply with legal requirements, the police registered an offence under the Foreigners Order, 1948 (Section 7 (1) (3)) and the Foreigners Act, 1946 (Section 14). She was subsequently placed under arrest on November 18.
