Archbishop of Goa and Daman, Filipe Neri Ferrao on Sunday stated that silver jubilee is an occasion for any institution to look at the past with pride and at the future with optimism and hope.
“The JMJ Hospital has come up with hard work and dedicated service rendered to the patients. St Mother Theresa said the heart that loves and the hand that cares matters most. JMJ Hospital has provided service to the people with love and care. Their journey during the last 25 years has been with faith and love,” said Archbishop Ferrao while speaking at the silver jubilee function of JMJ Hospital at Porvorim.
“JMJ Society should now improve their infrastructural facilities to provide better health care to the people,” added the Archbishop.
Speaking on the occasion, Revenue Minister and Porvorim MLA, Rohan Khaunte stated that JMJ has made a mark in the field of medication by providing selfless service to the people.
“Love and care have been their tool to serve the people, due to which it has become a household name today among the people of Porvorim and neighbouring villages. I will render my full support to the JMJ Hospital in all its future endeavours,” assured Khaunte.
Collector of North Goa, Nila Mohanan stated that some of the hospitals look at the medical profession from the commercial point of view.
“In health care, the element of care is missing. JMJ has earned accolades by providing selfless service to the people and they should continue to serve the people with the same zeal and faith. This is their strength and they should not compromise on the quality of the service they provide,” said Mohanan.
Earlier, President of JMJ Hospital Sr Sundari Singareddy welcomed the gathering, Administrator of JMJ Sr Velangani Mary Govindu narrated the history of the hospital, while Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao lit the lamp.
