The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman through its Centre for Biblical Apostolate launched Povitr Pustok, a Konkani Bible App, at Archbishop’s House on Monday.
Archbishop-Patriarch Filipe Neri Ferrao, who released the Povitr Pustok Konkani Bible App, said: “I am extremely happy to launch this Povitr Pustok App which will enable our faithful to read the Konkani Bible faithfully.”
He further congratulated Centre for Biblical Apostolate and all its collaborators who have taken the initiative to bring the Word of God in Konkani to the people. The Povitr Pustok Konkani Bible App is prepared under the guidance of Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate. The App is user friendly with many features and is easy to access. The App is painstakingly prepared by Patrick J Lobo and Bianca A Rebello with the support of Fr Carmo Martins.
Povitr Pustok Konkani Bible Official is a free app which can be downloaded from Google Play store and also from archdiocesan website ‘www.archgoadaman.com’. Among some of the salient features of this App is that All sayings of Jesus are highlighted in Red.
The Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate is grateful to the Archbishop for launching the App and also to the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media for the technical support.
