Why was the peaceful Catholic Palm Sunday procession cancelled by the Delhi Police under the BJP-led government? The BJP leadership, both at the national level and in Goa, often claims they are not targeting minorities. But their actions tell a different story.
Many other groups known for creating trouble and disturbing peace are allowed to carry on without restrictions. Yet, a peaceful and well-known religious procession like Palm Sunday is stopped. In Goa, it is time for so-called secular and Catholic politicians to speak up and be held accountable for the continued intimidation and harassment by BJP leaders.
