The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority rules prohibit any construction from taking place within 200 meters of the high tide line (no development zone) in areas under CRZ-3.
But there is a two-storeyed structure on the Benaulim-Sernabatim beach stretch that has been built in contravention of extant rules.
It is being let out as a sea view cottage by the owners. Would the authorities take cognizance of this illegal structure and deal with it as they have dealt with Lala ki Basti in Tivim?
