Water crisis erupts in Anjuna...- The Goan Everyday - September 18, 2024. The picture of Anjuna villages protesting outside the PWD office in Mapusa with empty buckets and utensils for water, was indeed a sad sight. Water is one of the most basic necessities of life and yet, we have a situation where people have no regular supply of water. The sad reality is, we prefer to focus on grandiose infrastructure plans but ignore basic infrastructure facilities required for daily life. We prefer to focus on petty issues rather than address more pressing issues. It’s time the authorities get real and this applies to similar situations across the country. The authorities must wake up and take note.
